SYRACUSE — A teenage girl who was run over by a truck while sunbathing Friday remained hospitalized in critical condition Saturday.

The teenager was lying in the driveway of her home near 3000 West and 2700 South around noon Friday when the accident occurred, Syracuse police officer Erin Behm said. The girl had headphones in and was listening to music, which kept her from hearing the garage door open and the truck start.

Her family member was in the white pick-up truck when they opened the garage door and didn't see the teenager before it ran over her.

"There is no foul play," Behm said. "There is nothing, they're not facing criminal charges. It is just a tragic, tragic accident."

The girl sustained head injuries and was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital. She was listed in critical condition, though Behm said her vital signs were good and she was breathing when she left the scene.

She remained in critical condition Saturday.
