1. Dennis Pitta, 2008

Pitta teamed up with brother-in-law Max Hall to produce 83 catches for 1,083 yards and an average of 13.0 yards per catch.

Smith caught 68 passes from Ty Detmer for 1,156 yards, an average of 17 yards per catch, and set an NCAA record for tight ends.

Hudson caught 67 passes for 960 yards for an average of 14.3 yards per catch from Steve Young. Both ended up in the College Football Hall of Fame and were All-Americans.

Hudson backed up his great year with Young by catching 67 passes for 928 yards and an average of 13.9 yards per catch.

Harline teamed up with John Beck for 63 catches and 853 yards. Their average play went for 13.4 yards and led to the "Answered Prayer" catch at Utah a season later.

Molini was a 400-meter sprinter from Reno, Nev., whose BYU career was short. But he caught 63 passes for 849 yards, an average of 13.5 yards per catch.
