Summertime is a chance to enjoy being outside as often as possible, which may be one reason outdoor movies have become so popular.

This year, more than 20 Utah cities and organizations are showing movies under the stars — many of which are appropriate for children of all ages.

Check out this list of locations, times and films for free outdoor fun in Utah.

Movies will be shown at 9:15 p.m. at the Draper Amphitheater, 944 E. Vestry Road.

There will be free pre-movie entertainment from 8-9 p.m.

Thanksgiving Point also has family-friendly outdoor movies at their Waterfall Amphitheater every Saturday night as a part of their Outdoor Movie Series. I couldn't post the website, but you can search the web for, "Thanksgiving Point outdoor movie series" to find it.

While the movies are not free for everyone, they are free for Thanksgiving Point members.
